At the head of the family was Virgilio Nannini, who in 1945 learned how to combine different pieces of all kinds of materials, stitching them together to create military tents.

This turned out to be extremely exhausting work, so he decided to give it up, and together with his family they began creating their first handbags, using a paper material that resembled leather.

Virgilio’s dream was finally taking shape, and he went on to establish a company. The first handbags were crafted from a hard and rugged leather and, with their simple yet elegant design, they successfully captivated women.

In 1960, Virgilio entrusted the company to his three children. During those years, Nannini handbags were made from a special and unique material coated with a layer of resin, creating a realistic imitation of leather. This was a golden era for the Nannini brand.

With the same passion as their father, the children further expanded the brand’s range, adding accessories to the catalog. They always made sure, however, to stay in tune with new trends while remaining faithful to the brand’s cornerstones: simplicity, freshness, and femininity!
